Using subconscious and intuition to heal arthritis

 Be Your Own Placebo

“It is important to replace disease images of the body with confidence and belief in your body’s creative intelligence and ability to heal”-- Louise Hay.

Our cultural beliefs about health care are focused on disease. It tells us about the power of the pill or surgery. It does not suggest how to use the power of the body’s ability to heal. We do not learn about the power of body wisdom and its ability to heal. We do not understand balance as the key to maintaining good health. Instead, we live in a model that promotes fear with many warnings, screenings, with pharmaceutical marketing everywhere and all of the time on television.  It is no wonder when we feel out of balance with early symptoms, and we feel helpless. We worry and visualize worst-case scenarios. We need a health model of wellbeing to replace the disease model. As more and more companies develop wellness programs, there has been a gradual shift to prevention work.

Of course, there are times when seeking medical attention is wise and necessary. Our health care systems are wonderful for treating emergencies and catastrophic illnesses.

Here are some suggestions for taking more responsibility for your health.

·         Have more faith in your body’s ability to heal than your fear of disease

·         Visualization is one of the powerful healing practices that activate your body’s intelligence. It can be your placebo.

·         The use of inquiries and body scans can increase your awareness. For example, when you discover a fear image, you can change it to a healing one.

·         Do not judge them; just label them and transcend to positive pictures and belief in your body’s natural healing power.

·         You can use immune system visualization. First, visualize your powerful immune system. See your powerful NK cells (Natural Killer Cells) patrolling every inch of your body, working day and night diligently, protecting you from infections, healing physical wounds.

·         We no longer believe it is helpful to use visuals of the NK cells attacking and killing intruder cells. My UK cells are gentle butterfly cells that dance through my body in bliss and love. Intruder cells can be cancer, viruses, or infections.

·         I visualize the NK cells asking the intruder cells to leave, thanking them for visiting and telling them they are no longer needed. They were messengers, not enemies.

·         Visualize the NK cells dancing through your body, strengthening and bringing all organs, systems, and cells into their perfect and intended balance.

·         Use positive intention like an affirmation. For example, I like to use, “My body is a healing working constantly to protect me.” Or “my body is a healing machine.”

·         If you have soreness or stiffness in your body, see your mighty NK cells lovingly removing the inflammation and soreness and restoring normal functioning. I add an intention. “My knees are strong and flexible.”

Through visualization and positive intentions, you can become your own placebo. The number one most powerful thing you can do is have more faith in your ability to heal than your fear of disease.
